Allis Ranch Winery, a family-owned boutique winery in Sedalia, Colorado, was established in 2007 by David Rhyne. Allis Ranch Winery focuses on Rhone varietals using small-lot vinification to create focused, hand-crafted wines. All grapes are sourced from top growers on the Western Slope of Colorado. Allis Ranch Winery uses sustainable practices throughout the operation by minimizing the use of water and energy wherever possible
Colorado's Western Slope near Palisade offers a climate and altitude similar to the southern Rhone Valley in France. The hot days and cool nights bring out the classic fruit and black pepper of Syrah, the melon, floral and citric character in Viognier, the smooth texture of Roussanne, and the strawberry nose and fresh fruit taste of Grenache. We co-ferment the Syrah with 5-10% Viognier or Roussanne to add depth and structure. The Syrah is aged at least twenty-four months in French and American oak barrels. We experiment with medium and heavy toast barrels. Some of the 2012 Syrah was aged in a heavy toast Hungarian barrel.
We are proud to support sales of Allis Ranch Wines through your doors and would love to join you in pouring our wines via in store tastings. Winemaker David Rhyne is also available for "meet the winemaker" and "bottle signing" special events by request.
The 2015 Two Husky Red Syrah is an exciting departure, co-fermented with 5% Roussanne for a well-rounded mouthfeel and hints of floral notes on the nose. This is a deeply colored and bold wine. Syrah character shines through in the nose with ripe black cherry, blackberry, vanilla and lavender. The French Oak influence softens the wine with aromas of caramel and coffee with hints of toasted oak. A 21% whole berry fermentation and aging for 36 months in 30% New French Oak contributes to a wine ready to age or drink now. 134 case

National Medal winner.
The 2012 Reserve Syrah is the best of the vintage. Big, bold, well rounded wine with rich dark colors. This Colorado Syrah is co-fermented with 2% Viognier in the style of the Northern Rhone region of France. Layers of blackberry, currant, fig and prune are all present. This wine continues to open with notes of caramel, leather, and cedar complementing its complexity. The finish is smooth and lingering with hints of berries and spice. Aged 33 months in 50% New and 50% Neutral oak. 50% French, 25% American and 25% Hungarian Oak. 90 cases produced.

Roussanne wines as single varietals are both elegant and complex. Its beautiful golden honey color gleams of a warm Colorado sun. The aroma of this Roussanne suggests a flowery, herbal tea with orange blossom and lemon. Its rich, full body yields flavors of melon, pears, sweet white fruit, orange, toast and honeysuckle while displaying a balanced acidity and a creamy finish. 32 cases produced
